Founding Meeting of Waterbeach Rail Action

We will be holding the founding meeting of Waterbeach Rail Action, an independent, resident-led campaign to keep the existing Waterbeach railway station open.

The meeting will be an opportunity to establish the group, discuss our priorities, organise volunteers and plan the next steps ahead of the statutory consultation.

Everyone is welcome. Whether you'd like to take an active role in the campaign or simply find out more, please come along.

We particularly welcome anyone willing to volunteer their time or skills to help the campaign.

4 November 2026 — Waterbeach Community Forum

Waterbeach Baptist Church

More than 120 residents attended a public meeting to discuss the proposed closure of the existing Waterbeach railway station.

The presentation covered the changes since 2018, the latest survey evidence, the statutory closure process and what residents can do next.

Statutory consultation

The proposed closure of the existing station requires a separate statutory process under the Railways Act 2005.

We will publish consultation dates, relevant documents and information about how to submit representations when these become available.
